Kansas City Southern’s Holiday Express Train

Where: Felix Avenue, Gonzales
The six-car festive train will depart Nov. 27 from Shreveport, Louisiana, on this year’s tour, which will stop in 20 communities in five U.S. states on 25 dates. The route will end Dec. 22 at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri.
The train is part of KCS’ charitable programs. Over the past 18 years, the Class I’s holiday project has raised more than $2.1 million, which was donated to The Salvation Army at each scheduled stop to help provide warm clothing and other necessities for children in need.

The Helen Brett Holiday Market (formerly Baton Rouge Jewelry and Merchandise Show) is a cash and carry show as well as order writing.
This popular southern market made its debut in 2005 and has continuously attracted 10,000 – 12,000 buyers and has 475 booths.

Welcome to the 2019 Bayou Duals Wrestling Tournament.
The Deep South Bayou Duals is one of the premier high school wrestling events in the region, and features some of the top teams from around the United States. Our goal is to offer participating teams plenty of quality matches as we constantly strive to bring in excellent competition and diverse styles of wrestling. We also thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to expose our out of state friends to a little bit of Cajun Country.
2019 EVENT INFORMATION
Date: December 27th and 28th, 2019
Location: Lamar Dixon Expo Center– 9039 S St Landry Ave, Gonzales, LA 70737
Format: 24 – 48 Team Dual Meet Tournament with Pools leading to Brackets on day 2. Teams will be separated into pools on day one to determine bracket placement on day two. The top finishers from each pool will advance to the Championship Bracket. The bottom finishers will advance to a Consolation bracket. Between 8 and 10 Dual’s per team.
Times: Weigh-ins begin at 7:30 am, wrestling starts at ~ 9:00 am, on both days.
Early Bird (before October 15th) $300 entry fee, to be paid no later than October 15th.
Regular Entry (October 15th – December 1st) $375 entry fee, to be paid no later than December 1st.
Late Registration (December 1st – Day of the event): $450.00 entry fee paid no later than the day of the event.
Spectator fees will be $15 each day. Admission is free for children 8 years of age and younger. Tickets available at the door.
