Ascension Library 60th Anniversary Events

September 22-28, 2020

This September, we are proud to celebrate Ascension Parish Library’s 60th Anniversary. As you know, a library is more than just books. Over the last 60 years, you have allowed us to be a part of your daily life, helping us in our mission to fulfill the educational, informational, and recreational needs of Ascension Parish citizens.
This month, we celebrate the library, but we also celebrate you and our shared role in the community. The celebration lasts all month long, but these parties only last for four hours. You can stay the whole time or pop in for as long as you’d like. Activities will be held both inside and outside the library and are for all ages to enjoy. And like any good party, there will be plenty of food and music.
Activity stations will be cleaned between each usage, and we encourage social distancing. Masks are required within the library. If you are interested in participating but are hesitant to come in, we will be happy to bring you a snack packet to your car when you visit the library for curbside service.
For more information about our 60th Anniversary Parties, call any library location, and speak with one of our staff members.
Classic Car Show:
Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 2:00 PM in Donaldsonville
Saturday, September 26 in Dutchtown
All are welcome to attend Classic Car Shows at Ascension Parish Library. These free family-friendly events will feature classic and custom cars from past years.
If you own a classic vehicle and want to show off your special automobile at one or both of these events, we invite you to join in the fun and help the library celebrate 60 years of service to our community. If you like classic cars, this is the place to be.
In addition to the car show, there will be music and activities throughout the day planned for all ages.
